Clarence E. Erwin, 70, of 939 E. David St., Apt. 101, was ticketed by city police on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Greene Street, for failure to yield the right of way while entering a roadway.

According to city police, the charge stems from a two-car accident that also involved a vehicle owned by Steven J. Beaulieu, 56, of 623 Hamilton St. Mr. Erwin's charge is returnable in city court on Feb. 18.

Beverly A. Biddle, 57, of 815 state Highway 37, Hammond, was ticketed by city police on Wednesday at 3:50 p.m. at the Medical Office Building, 3 Lyon Place, for failure to use due care.

City police say the charge stems from a two-car accident that also involved a vehicle owned by Geraldine A. Robinson, 72, of 706 Mansion Ave.

Mrs. Biddle's charge is returnable in city court on Feb. 18.

A passenger in Mrs. Biddle's vehicle, according to city police, 24-year-old Raymond C. Biddle Sr., also of 815 state Highway 37, Hammond, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt for being in violation of a stay-away order of protection with another passenger in the vehicle.

Mr. Biddle was being held in city lock-up to await a Thursday morning arraignment.

Lionel W. Thurston Jr., 26, of 701 Proctor Ave., was ticketed by city police on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m., for unsafe backing. City police say the charge stems from a two-car accident that occurred in the parking lot of Community Bank NA, 825 State St., and also involved a vehicle being driven by Jennifer M. Beebe, 30, of Heuvelton. Mr. Thurston's charge is returnable in city court on Feb. 18.

A shoplifter was reported to city police by Wal-Mart on Wednesday at 2:21 p.m.

A Pickering Street resident reported damage to his fence on Tuesday at 9:29 p.m.

James S. Durr, 68, of 9333 state Highway 37, was issued a parking summons by city police on Tuesday at 9:11 p.m. at Ogdensburg Free Academy, for a handicapped parking violation.

According to city police, the charge stems from a two-car accident that also involved a vehicle owned by Robin L. Hooper, 57, of 505 Rensselaer Ave.

The summons is returnable in city court within 10 days.

James F. Compo, 47, no fixed address, was charged by city police on Tuesday at 8:59 p.m. at 463 Belmont Courts, for unlawful possession of marijuana.

City police say he was released on an appearance ticket returnable in city court on Feb. 23.
