City Council Meets Tonight
MONDAY, MARCH 8, 2010
The Ogdensburg City Council will meet in regular session tonight in City Hall at 7 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public.
The council will be asked to approve giving $5,000 to the marketing campaign for the proposed four-lane commercial highway through Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Lewis, and Clinton counties.
In January, the Joint Economic Development Committee led by Mayor William D. Nelson stopped short of donating $10,000 to the marketing campaign.
The mayor was opposed because he felt the council should be consulted as the money would come from the committee's $35,000 budget which is partially subsidized by a council-approved $15,000 city appropriation.
