Thornton "Red" E. Perrault
Funeral services for Thornton "Red" E. Perrault, 80 formerly of 202 Brady Rd, Madrid will be Tuesday 10:00 am at the Phillips Memorial Home, Madrid with Rev Mgsr Robert Lawler presiding. Interment will in St John the Baptist Cemetery.
Calling hours will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, Madrid. At the family's request memorials to the Potsdam Humane Society.
Surviving Thornton "Red" E Perrault are four sons: Thornton E. III and wife Mary Lynn of Jacksonville, NC; Ronald of Utica, Robert and wife Patricia of Madrid, Richard and wife Sherry of Muncie, In, three daughters and husbands; Mrs.Wayne ( Bonnie ) Barnes of Sodus, Mrs. Gary (Deborah) Hendershot, Potsdam, Mrs. Dale (Lisa) Chudzinski, Waddington, 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two sisters: Verlee McDermont and Mrs. James (Louise) Shaw both of Canton. A brother Joseph predeceased him.
Thornton was born November 22, 1929 in Canton the son of Thornton E. and Rita (Wakeford) Perrault. He was a graduate of Canton High School, Married Rose Lillian Westerdick July 29, 1951 at St. Mary's Church, Canton by Rev Whittier. Mrs. Perrault died November 15, 1977. He served in the US Army from 1948 until 1949. At one time he was a truck driver for Perrata Meat Packing,Briar Hill and Gouverneur Trucking.They moved from Lisbon in 1969 to Madrid. Mr. Perrault was a Custodian for 21 years at St Lawrence University. In his earlier years he worked on various farms in the Canton area raising crops and livestock.
Arrangements are the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home, Madrid.
