MASSENA - Funeral services for Clarice M. White, 88, of Massena, will be held on Friday (March 12, 2010) at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Church Massena, with the Rev. Michael Gaffney presiding. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone.

Friends and family may be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.

Clarice passed away on March 8, 2010 at Grasmere Terrace.

She is survived by her children, Bryan White of Dudley, Mass., and Eileen and husband Robert Ramage of Southbridge, Mass.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Deuyour of Brushton, Rodney Deuyour of Malone and Bruce Deuyour of Fayetteville, N.C.; and a sister, Patricia Trucheon of Southbridge, Mass.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Leland, Lawrence and Max; and a sister, Margaret Romaine.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1921 in Westville, N.Y., the daughter of Henry J. and Blanche (Begin) Deuyour. She graduated from Franklin Academy. She married Robert J. White on June 27, 1942 at St. John the Bosco Church. Mr. White predeceased her on Dec. 10, 1947.

Clarice was a housekeeper working in private homes. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and Retirees, LCBA and past President, Democratic Club, Parish Council member, and Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's, Sacred Heart League of St. Mary's. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at Trinity Catholic School.
