Blue Heron Booters Nip Massena, KofC Enjoys Breakthrough

LISBON - Lisbon Blue Heron Realty defeated Massena 3-2 in a well-played youth soccer game on Tuesday.

Maddison Vine scored two goals for Blue Heron and Adam Kelley tallied a singleton. Blue Heron goalies Nick Spooner and Kane Jordan combined for six saves. Massena's goalie made 10 saves.

Strong defensive play was supplied by Jordan Carr, Tucker Jordan and Rebecca Robinson and Strong mid stops came from Reilly Alberto and Koby Jordan. Paige Woods came through with excellent support on offense.

KofC Booters Blank Canton

The young KofC U12 booters put together a complete game and came away with a 2-0 win over the Canton Bears in recent PYSA Summer soccer action.

Dominic Molinari found the back of the net on a nice feed from Ali Moore in the 17th minute of the first half to break a scoreless tie. In nthe 23rd minute of the first half Jacob Sharpe rounded out the scoring with his first goal of the season on a nice give and go from Ashley Barr.

The locals were lead by strong Midfield play from Kelsey Pinkerton, Will Kroeger, Katie Rogers, Natalie Mccormick and Nick Sholette. The defense was lead by Ian Morrow, Jacob Awan, Jake Adner, Kiera Johnson and Nate Molinari.

Justyn McCormick and Matt Ramm split time in the net recording 11 saves to preserve the shut out.
