Duff's I Ladies Rally To Halt Phoenix of Bay, Nig's Prevails
Facing an 8-5 deficit in the seventh inning, Duff's I rallied to beat previously unbeaten Phoenix on the Bay 9-8 in Ogdensburg Women's Softball play on Wednedsay.
Deb Knapp lined a single, Jade Vernsey earned a walk and Lori LaRue belted a three run homerun to knot the game at 8-8. Kendra Moran followed with a walk and Brittany Kenyon delivered the game-winning hit.
LaRue finished with a homerun, a triple and two singles while Knapp and Moran each singled twice and doubled. Sue Badlam (triple, single), Jade Vernsey (three singles), Kenyon (two singles), Jackie Pinkerton (two singles), Austie Claxton (single), and Kristen Worden (single) rounded out the hitting.

Alyson Bixby stroked five singles for Oscars'. Erin O'Marah, Sherri Wood, Taylor Amo, Renee Robinson, and Kara Pharoah all stroked three singles while Jen Lassial, Jen Ethridge singled twice.
