City police reported a two-car accident with property damage that occurred Thursday at 2:57 p.m. at Save A Lot, 701 Canton St. No charges or injuries resulted from the accident, according to city police, which involved vehicles driven by Jeanne L. LaBrake, 69, of 6022 county Route 10, and Sheila D. Seguin, 53, of 9545 state Highway 37.

Benjamin J. Bowman, 23, of 1217 Greene St., was charged by city police on Thursday at 2:44 p.m., on a city court bench warrant for failure to appear/pay fine.
City police say the warrant stems from a prior charge of open container. Mr. Bowman posted $70 bail, according to city police, and was released on an appearance ticket returnable Tuesday in city court.

Thomas J. Dobbs, 45, of 101 Front St., Rensselaer Falls, was charged by city police on Thursday at 10:45 a.m., on a city court warrant for a prior charge of petit larceny. City police say the warrant stems from an Aug. 18 shoplifting incident at Stewarts.

Margaret K. Montpetit, 61, of 1020 East David St., reported to city police at 9:58 a.m. Thursday her car had been struck while parked at the Seaway Plaza parking lot.

Jeremiah A. Dashnaw Sr., 25, of 1114 Mechanic St., was charged with second-degree criminal contempt by city police at 9:33 a.m. Thursday. He was additionally charged on a county court bench warrant.
He was then taken to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, where he will be held pending further court action.
