Zonta First Wine-9 Promises Gala Golf Tourney On Sept 18
The Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club International will be holding a "Nine Hole Golf Captain and Crew and Wine Outing" on Sept. 18 at the St. Lawrence State Park Golf Course. Registration times are 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
As the foursomes travel the course, the golfers experience the tastings of New York State Wine and the pairings of cheese. A keg of beer, compliments of AJ Missert, for the non-wine drinkers will be set up. There will be team prizes, individual awards, a $10,000 cash prize for a hole in one, a $5,000 cash prize for a putting contest, and Steak Dinner catered by Greg Sholette of Sholette's Liqour Store and entertainment by Pat Duffy for the entry fee of $200 per four golfer team. Banquet only cost has been set at $16.
If a hole in one on any of the non-target par three's is accomplished, that golfer wins one of the Auxilliary prizes such as but not limited to a Nike Driver or Irons, a Bose Wave Music System, or a $500 Visa Gift Certificate.
The area Zonta Club will use proceeds to support the Zonta's Annual Adult and High School Scholarships. and many community projects.
