SUNY Potsdam Athletic Department Hosting Second Annual Triathlon On Campus Sept 11

POTSDAM - Area competitors are invited to participate in a triathlon hosted by the SUNY Potsdam Athletic Department and the Center for Lifelong Education and Recreation on Saturday, Sept. 11. The racecourse for the second annual triathlon event will consist of a 1/4-mile swim in the Maxcy Hall pool, a 12-mile bike route off campus, and a 3.1-mile run around the perimeter of campus. The deadline to register early is Friday, Sept. 3.

"The College looks forward to hosting triathletes from around the region for the second year in a row. Our athletic facilities allow us to offer a course that is both challenging for competitors and friendly to spectators," said Beth A.G. Todd, coordinator of non-credit programs for CLEAR.

Race day registration will be held at Maxcy Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with a 9 a.m. race start. Individuals and teams are welcome to participate. Registration fees are $30 per individual competitor and $50 per team. A discount will apply for those who register early. T-shirts will be given to all pre-registered participants and to other competitors as available.
