Two Canton residents were charged with disorderly conduct by city police following an altercation Sunday at 1:34 a.m. in the 100 block of Oak Street. Billy J. Shannon, 18, and Patricia L. Dawson, 45, both of 4 Prospect St., were released on appearance tickets returnable in city court on Sept. 16, according to city police.

Farrell, 19, of 77 Rensselaer St., Heuvelton, was charged by city police on Saturday at 9:35 p.m. at 800 Park St., on a city court bench warrant for revocation of release under the supervision of probation. City police say he was arraigned in city court and ordered held in St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.

Rickie D. Lawton, 17, of 131 Paterson St., was charged by city police on Saturday at 7:34 p.m. in the 200 block of Denny Street on a city court bench warrant for failure to appear. According to city police, the warrant stems from prior charges of unregistered snowmobile, uninsured snowmobile, and operating a snowmobile in the roadway. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable today in city court, according to city police.
