MADRID - The Madrid-Waddington Varsity Girls Volleyball team will be senior oriented this fall.

The Jackets' roster of 11 players includes 10 seniors and nine of them are returning seniors according to M-W Coach Laurinda Stockwell.

"We've got experience back. And last season, I played a lot of players so we should be better than last year," said Stockwell.

The Jackets return four year varsity players in Kristin King (setter) and Ashley Beldock (hitter).

"Kristin is one of the best setters in the section and Ashley is a strong hitter. Kayla Vallance and Kristin Miller have improved a lot at hitting. Last year, we were rebuilding. This season, we should be competitive. We're excited about the upcoming year," said Stockwell.

Other members of the Jackets are: Megan Parmeter (setter), Jessica Reed (setter), Olivia Blackmore (libero), Shauna Vallance (libero), Kristin Miller (hitter), Kayla Vallance (hitter), Dee Ibey (hitter), Marina Zeledon (hitter), and Ashleigh Bracy (hitter). Bracy is the lone junior on the team.

The Jackets, who play in the NAC West Division, open the season on Sept. 8 against Massena.
