WADDINGTON - Funeral services for Stella K. Fairbridge, 87, of LaGrasse Street, Waddington, will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington, with Rev. Monsignor Robert Lawler presiding. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery in Waddington.

Friends and family may be received on Saturday from noon until the time of the funeral at the Phillips Memorial Home, 28 Clinton St., Waddington.

Stella passed away on Wednesday (Sept. 1, 2010) at the Highland Nursing Home.

She is survived by a son, Richard and wife Dawn of Waddington; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Fairbridge of Waddington; two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Zabrobelny of East Aurora and Mr. and Mrs. August Zabrobelny of Mt. Kisco; two sisters, Helen Badlem of Waddington, Josephine Logan of Pocatella, Idaho.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Buckley; a son. Donald Fairbridge; her husband, Milton Fairbridge; three brothers, Joe, Bronic and Ted Zabrobelny.

Born March 1, 1923 in Massena, the daughter of August and Mary (Phillips) Zabrobelny.

She married Milton Fairbridge at St. Mary's Church.

She and her husband owned and operated the Waddington Bowling Alley.

She enjoyed reading and being active in the community. She was a member of the St. Mary's Church in Waddington, 64-year member of the American Legion Auxilliary and Waddington Rescue Ladies Auxiliary.
