Heuvelton Parade Features Fort Drum Marching Band
HEUVELTON - Labor Day weekend just got a little bit better now that the Fort Drum Marching Band announced it will attend the Sunday Parade.
Organizers are asking everyone to come out and join in the weekends festivities which will include a dunking booth complete The Journal's own Benny O. Fairchild.
A complete schedule follows:
Sept. 3
5:30 p.m. - Donation Auction at the Heuvelton Boat Launch Field. All proceeds will benefit the Heuvelton Leos Club. There will also be a craft fair, food vendors and carnival games.
Sept. 4
7:30 a.m. - Walk/Run registration. Cost is $10 and includes a T-Shirt.
8 a.m. - Walk/Run begins.
9 a.m. - Craft fair, carnivals games and food vendors open.
10:30 a.m. - Baby contest, judging several categories.
12 noon - Clown show featuring live performer.
1 p.m. - Cake walk
2 p.m. - Nail pounding
3 p.m. - Pet show
4 p.m. - An Italian made Baked Ziti dinner.
5 p.m. - "Country Classic"
Sept. 5
11:30 p.m. Float Judging
1 p.m. - Parade begins followed by BBq Chicken at the Amvets
2 p.m. - The Acoustic Brothers will perform
3 p.m. - WD-40 plus will perform
5 p.m. - The Starlighters
Dusk - Fireworks
