Canton Boys Fall In Chazy Tourney To Beekmantown

CHAZY - The Canton Central boys soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Beekmantown in the opening round of the Chazy Tournament on Thursday.

Zack Towle and Jordhan Varin scored the first two goals of the game before Brandon Bartley got the Bears on the board with just 47 seconds left in the first half.

Towle put the game out of reach with his second of the game just 3:30 into the second half. Jake Newman made 10 saves for Canton while Brett Smith handled five shots backstopping the win.

The Bears will now play Chazy in the consolation game on Saturday while Beekmantown squares off in the championship game against Plattsburgh which advanced via a 2-1 win over the host Eagles.
