AmVets Hosts Double Pool Tourney Sat.

A brisk wind may have challenged the scoring but did nothing to diminish the generosity of the golfers at Sunday's John Durr Memorial Fall Classic at the St. Lawrence Golf and Country Club.

Each year a summer and fall tournament are held to raise funds for the John Durr Memorial Scholarships which are presented each year at the OFA Graduation.

This year's tournaments raised a new high of $2500 and Sunday's two-man tournament saw Jon Frederick and Terry McKee win honors with a 66 followed by Matt Morley and Jason Casey and Jeff and Greg Hooper at 67.

TJ Hannan-Stephan Seidman and Kelly O'Grady-John Kelly O'Grady rounded out the scores in the 60-Something rounds with 69s.

Next year's tournaments will be staged on the Sundays of Graduationm (4-man) in June and Labor Day (2-man) weekends
