SUNY Canton Hosts Fleury Run-Walk Sun.

CANTON - SUNY Canton will host the 12th Annual Nicole E. Fleury Memorial 5K Walk / Run on Sunday, Sept. 19. The walk / run will be held on campus and will utilize the beautiful trails than run through the woods behind campus and along the Grasse River.

The walk/run is held to honor Nicole Fleury's memory as a SUNY Canton student-athlete and outstanding member of the campus community. Nicole tragically lost her life in a car accident on her way back to campus in November of 1998. Funds generated from the event go towards a scholarship awarded in her name. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the cost is $15 which includes a long-sleeve t-shirt. Anyone wishing to register should go online to www.canton.edu/athletics and find the link for the Nicole Fleury Run. Registration is also available between 8 am - 9 am day of the event.
