After spending last year playing in Finland, former Clarkson goalie David Leggio has emerged as the starting goalie for the American Hockey League's Portland (Maine) Pirates.
The Pirates are the AHL affiliate of Leggio's hometown team, the Buffalo Sabres. Leggio has lost just one so far this season. His backup is another name familiar to north country fans, former SLU goalie Alex Petizian.
Here are a couple audio clips of saves made by Leggio in a game on Oct. 23, courtesy of the Pirates' website.
