Former Clarkson standout Erik Cole has been busy both on and off the ice in the past month.
On the ice he's scored three goals for the Carolina Hurricanes since the last edition of Pro Hockey Notes.
Off the ice he's kept busy with his Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation, which will have an event on Thursday after the Hurricanes practice at the RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C.
Cole will be there and will take the ice with members of the Triangle Special Hockey Association's sled hockey team. After an on-ice session he will join the team, members of the corprate community and media in the Champions Club for lunch and a new announcement. There will also be a check presented to the Executive Director of the Triangle Special Hockey Association.
Cole's foundation has existed since 2007 and helps support non-profile youth hockey programs and children suffering from cancer and other diseases.
