Former major league baseball pitcher Tommy John, who played for the Yankees, Dodgers, Angels and three other teams is scheduled to speak in Watertown next month, the Watertown Wizards announced.
A 288-game winner in the majors, John will speak about his career at a “hot stove” dinner, scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Jefferson County Fair Exhibition Hall.
A meet-and-greet session is slated for 6 p.m.
The dinner is open to the public. Tickets start at $25. Proceeds benefit local Babe Ruth League baseball.
