Clarkson has one more game before the team takes a few weeks off for Christmas break. The Golden Knights will travel to play Sacred Heart at 4 p.m. Sunday and then won't play again until hosting Minnesota-Duluth on Jan. 3-4.

This week is also finals week so the team had more of an informal practice session today. Prior to the actual practice senior forward Brandon DeFazio and sophomore defenseman Nik Pokulok took a try at playing goalie. It appeared DeFazio had the edge at the position.

Here is some footage of the experiment:

The relaxed tone to the day was set even before the players took the ice. A big debate going on was whether Santa Claus is from Finland, as Lauri Tuohimaa suggest, or from Canada, as several of the other players attest.

Here's DeFazio talking about a few subjects with a handful of his teammates, out of the camera sight, giving him a hard time:

I also spoke briefly with injured defenseman Andrew Himelson.

NOTE:The regular Five Questions With segment will resume when the second semester starts. Sending in questions for the players is encouraged and can be submitted to ccarey@wdt.net. Please include your name and town and graduation year, if you are a Clarkson alum. The blog will also be on hiatus during the Christmas break after Saturday's preview post for the Sacred Heart game.
