Carthage native Katie Ferris continued her stellar rookie season with the University of Massachusetts, earning the Atlantic 10 conference player of the week.

Ferris led the Minutewomen to wins against Temple and la Salle with nine goals and three assists. She also earned the UMass player of the week honor for her efforts.

The Minutewomen are currently ranked 11th in the country.
