State Sen. Joe Griffo, a Rome Republican, says that Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed his bill that would help curb pension double-dippers.
The bill was introduced at the behest of the comptroller's office, which oversees the pension system. In a news release, Mr. Griffo said that "bureaucratic red tape" (dealing with Mr. Griffo and state Sen. Patty Ritchie has led me to believe I need a hot-key for that phrase) prevented the office from finding out from local governments who was double-dipping.
My question is: Why not just ask June O'Neill?
