Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush is taking to the links on Aug. 18 to fundraise.

I've attached the (sideways) fliers for the event, at the Carlowden Country Club in Carthage. As I'm eventually going to get around to writing, Mr. Blankenbush has raised a few thousand dollars this year.

Prices range from $250 to $2,500.

Spokeswoman Julia Robbins tells me that Mr. Blankenbush's handicap has gone up two since the campaign started last summer. Some elected officials are apparently less busy.
