A plan to take money from our half of a state fund to pay for someone else's financial troubles has caused backlash among north country legislators.
The Hudson River-Black River Regulating District — or, as the inspector general calls it, Glenn LaFave's piggy bank — wants to use money from the Black River side of the state authority to pay down back taxes that the Hudson River side owes.
