Immaculate Heart Central pitcher Anthony Magovney will sign a letter of intent to play Division I baseball for the University at Buffalo at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the IHC library.
Magovney, who helped the Cavaliers to two Section 3 Class C titles and a state runner-up finish in 2010 during his four-year varsity career, went 6-4 with a 3.76 earned run average this past season. Magovney also batted .400 with 22 runs batted in this past season as IHC made it to the Section 3 Class B-1 finals.
As a junior, Magovney finished 8-0 with a .92 ERA, striking 102 in 60 2/3 innings. His career won-loss record in four varsity seasons was 19-7.
