The Upstate New York Tea Party's Mark Barie will make his first public appearance since suffering a ruptured brain aneurism in the spring at a 9-11 ceremony in Plattsburgh on Sept. 8.
The event, hosted by the tea party group, is being billed as non-political. It will feature a speech from Thomas Middleton, the author of a book on the Iraq War.
It will take place at 7 p.m. at the Westside Ballroom. For more info, visit the group's website. Tickets aren't required if you want to attend, but seating is limited.
“Regardless of your political views we all have 911 in common. There will be no politicking on that night,” Mr. Barie said in a news release.
