St. Lawrence has its only preseason exhibition game on Sunday. That means we're only 10 days away from the start of the regular season. With all the off-season brouhaha in college hockey and the ECAC, picking the favorites this year could be challenging.
Will the new coaches lead programs to the top? Will the talented freshmen from St. Lawrence last year grow into a power class as sophomores? What do you think? Pick the standings (e-mail dcassavaugh@wdt.net">dcassavaugh@wdt.net) and I will reveal the poll results on October 6.
Here's how the ECAC standings broke down last year:
Union (26-10-4, 17-3-2)
Yale (28-7-1, 17-4-1)
Dartmouth (19-12-3, 12-8-2)
Cornell (16-15-3, 11-9-2)
RPI (20-13-5, 11-9-2)
Princeton (17-13-2, 11-9-2)
Clarkson (15-19-2, 9-12-1)
Quinnipiac (16-15-8, 6-9-7)
Brown (10-16-5, 8-12-2)
Harvard (12-21-1, 7-14-1)
St. Lawrence (13-22-5, 6-15-1)
