Jefferson Community College has named former men’s and women’s assistant basketball coach Josh Woodward as the interim head coach of the women’s basketball team, as well as an assistant coach with the golf team.
Woodward, a former JCC student, takes over for Chris Ramie, who was head coach for the women’s team for a season.
Woodward works as an adjunct instructor of physical education at JCC. He’s a former assistant coach for the Watertown High School boys basketball team and a graduate of WHS.
Woodward is also the head golf pro at the Watertown Golf Club.
“Joining the Jefferson Community College staff as a basketball coach has been a lifelong dream,” Woodward said in a release. “I look forward with great optimism in working towards building a program through student athletes that strives on hard work and discipline.”
The JCC women’s team begins its season on Nov. 1 at North Country Community College.
