ECAC Hockey Notes 10/20


The conference went 7-5-2 last weekend as the non-Ivy League teams played their second weekend of the season.
Colgate split a pair of games with Miami (Ohio). The Raiders moved into the national rankings at the No. 16 spot in this week's U.S. College Hockey Online poll.
Here are some highlights from Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over 10th-ranked Miami.

For a second straight weekend Ferris State swept an ECAC Hockey foe. After winning two games at home against St. Lawrence University, Ferris State swept Rensselaer 4-0 and 3-0 last weekend.

Quinnipiac won four games last week, beating Holy Cross 5-3 on Wednesday, defeating Canisius 7-1 on Saturday and then again 4-0 on Sunday. The Bobcats beat Bently 4-1 on Tuesday. Union tied Western Michigan two straight days: 2-2 and 3-3.
And SLU had a tough week, falling 10-3 to Michigan on Thursday then blowing a two-goal lead in the third period and losing 6-5 to RIT on Saturday in Rochester.

Friday:Quinnipiac at Robert Morris, Union at Niagara, 7 p.m.; RPI at Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m. (exhibitions - Guelph at Cornell, Western Ontario at Harvard, 7 p.m.).
Saturday:Quinnipiac at Robert Morris, Union at RIT (Time Warner Cable), 7 p.m. (exhibitions - Western Ontario at Dartmouth, 4 p.m., Carleton at Cornell, Guelph at Princeton, Waterloo at Yale, 7 p.m.)
