Junior International Carp Tournament Deadline Nears

The deadline for early registration for the 2012 St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament is Dec. 31 for young anglers who participated in this year's competition.

Those participants receive a loyalty rate of $75 for their 2012 entry if is paid by Dec. 31, which saves them $50 off the regular registration fee of $125. Registration covers all tournament activities, including the Mort Backus & Sons Fishing School.

The tournament, which is open to boys and girls ages 11 to 18, will take place Aug. 16-18 on the St. Lawrence River.
