Future Watch (Jan. 12)

It's time for another look at the players who will be joining the Clarkson hockey team in the fall. Right now Clarkson has six players who are expected to join the squad as freshmen: Forwards Christian Finch, Jeff DiNallo, Patrick Megannety and David Ferriera, defenseman Kevin Kirisits and goalie Gabe Antoni.
Finch, a forward with the Ontario Junior Hockey League's Stouffville Spirit, has been enjoying a stellar season. He has 29 goals and 47 assists in 36 games and he has scored eight power-play goals. He currently has a 21-game points streak and was named the OJHL's Player of the Month for a second straight month.
“It’s a great accomplishment for me to be named player-of-the-month for the second time, but it’s more of a testament to my teammates and coaches for giving me the opportunities,” Finch told “While playing with Chris Porter and Drake Caggiula, we’ve been able to click and get good chemistry. Our team has really come together and we’re getting contributions from everyone, allowing us to put up a 15 game streak without a regulation loss. We’re looking forward to carrying this momentum into playoffs and going as far as we can.”
Here is a short highlight video of a recent game and Finch, No. 13 in the white jersey, scores at the 3:27 mark.

Megannety, who is playing for the Georgetown Raiders of the OJHL, has scored 21 goals with 14 assists through 29 games. Here's a rather long video (18-minutes) that shows every shift of one of his games.

Ferriera, who is playing for the Brockville Braves of the Central Junior Hockey League, has 17 goals and 17 assists in 35 games and Jeff DiNallo, who plays for the Newmarket Hurricanes of the OJHL, has 12 goals and 19 assists in 28 games.
Kirisits, the lone defenseman coming in next year, also plays for the Brockville Braves. In 39 games he has two goals and six assists. He also was recently interviewed on video:

Antoni started the year in the U.S. Hockey League with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, where he was a roommate of Kevin Morris, a forward on the squad who is the son of former Clarkson coach Mark Morris.
Antoni was 10-4-1 with Dubuque and had a 2.65 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage. He was recently traded to the Springfield Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey League. He has played in two games with his new team and is 1-0-1 with a 1.85 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
Here is an audio interview Antoni did with Morris before he was traded.
