In the midst of the LATFOR madness, Republican Matt Doheny announced his fundraising haul.
He raised more than $300,000, didn't take out any loans, and sent out notification of it to a national website before he even had to, showing that the campaign is very pleased with the results. He has more than $316,000 on hand.
Mr. Doheny is taking on Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, who hasn't announced his haul yet.
National Journal, which had the story first, (subscription required) called it a "strong start."
