Area Police Briefs Richville Harassment Potsdam Accident Potsdam Possession Oswegatchie Sex Abuse
RICHVILLE — Andrew W. Facey, 37, of Richville was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute early Saturday morning at his home.
State police responded to the home at 2:34 a.m. Mr. Facey was arraigned and sent to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, where he is being held without bail.
Troopers said at the time of the incident there was a no-harassment order of protection in place against Mr. Facey. Following his arraignment, police said, a no-contact order of protection was issued for the victim.
POTSDAM — A Potsdam woman was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent after suffering minor injuries in a one-car accident Friday afternoon.
State police ticketed Emily S. Theisen, 20, following the accident at 3:44 p.m.
Troopers said Ms. Theisen was northbound on Route 11 near Cowan Road when she lost control of her vehicle and it went off of the road, striking a signpost and utility pole.
State police said the cause of the accident was unsafe speeds and slippery road conditions. Mr. Theisen was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where she was treated for headaches.
POTSDAM - Sean P. Reisch, 21, of North Kingston, R.I. was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana early Saturday morning.
Village police charged him at 12:57 a.m., after officers allegedly found him in possession of a small amount of marijuana while on Market Street.
He was then released on an appearance ticket.
OGDENSBURG — Ricky T. Mason, 50, of Lovejoy Road, was charged with third-degree sexual abuse Friday following an investigation by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.
Detectives allege that he engaged in unwanted sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl.
He was arraigned and released to the supervision of probation.
