Dave Shea Classic Set For Saturday

The Howland Pump Sixth Grade Boys Basketball team won the 31st annual Frank West Tournament in Massena this past weekend. The team defeated Kanata, St. Pauls of Oswego, and Gouverneur in pool play, earning the #1 seed. The locals, coached by Scott Sargent, Scott McCormick and John Powers, then defeated Kanata in the semis and Massena in the finals.
The Howland Pump Fifth and Sixth Graders Dave Shea Classic is this weekend at OFA with games beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Participating in the Fifth Grade division are:Ogdensburg Howland Pump, Heuvelton, Canton and Madrid-Waddington. Competing sixth grade teams are: Ogdensburg Howland Pump, Gouverneur, Canton, Massena and Hammond.
