SYRACUSE - United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian announced Friday the sentencing of a Nedrow man for conspiracy to possess and possess with intent to distribute marijuana.

Landon Sky, 29, was sentenced by Senior United States District Judge Frederick J. Scullin to a term of one year and one day imprisonment for his plea of guilty to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute and distribute between 10 and 20 kilograms of marijuana between August and December 2008.

Sky played a role as a mid-level distributor in a marijuana conspiracy in which a total of well over 100 kilograms of marijuana was brought from Akwesasne to the Onondaga Indian Reservation in Nedrow, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In his role as a co-conspirator, Sky received multi-pound amounts of marijuana.

He then re-sold, in smaller quantities, to other co-conspirators and to various Syracuse area customers.

After Sky finishes serving his sentence of incarceration, he will be placed on supervised release for a period of three years. Sky was also ordered to pay a special assessment of $100.
