Saints Top Hobart Men
CANTON Ralph Temgoua scored 19 points to help the St. Lawrence University mens basketball team to a 65-62 win over Hobart College in a Liberty League game Friday night.
Garrett Sharlow scored 16 points and Terry Parham added 14 points for SLU (12-8 overall, 8-4 conference).
Joe Gibbons led Hobart (15-4, 8-2) with 19 points.CLARKSON 83, RIT 71
The Golden Knights (14-5, 7-3) took a 56-24 lead by halftime and went on to defeat the Rochester Institute of Technology in a Liberty League game in Potsdam. Jerry Coleman led Clarkson with 28 points and Felix Llanos added 20. John Coleman scored 13 points with seven assists.
Gabe Nicasio paced RIT (6-13, 2-8) with 22 points and Brendan Harder chipped in 16.
SUNY FREDONIA 73, SUNY POTSDAM 69
SUNY Fredonia rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat the Bears (4-16, 2-11) in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.
Julius Bryant led the Blue Devils (11-7, 6-6) with 24 points. Amir Billips and Damien Goodwin II both scored 12.Curtis Pierce was the leader for the Bears (4-16, 2-11) with 22 points. Brad Drysdale and Josh Lambert both scored 14 and Tony Efese added 10 for SUNY Potsdam.
WOMENS BASKETBALL
ST. LAWRENCE 78, WILLIAM SMITH 60
Casey Capello scored 19 points and Kelly Legg added 15 as the Saints (16-4, 12-0) remained undefeated in Liberty League play with a win in Canton.Kristen Bush led William Smith (10-9, 6-4) with 16 points.
RIT 62, CLARKSON 59
The Tigers (9-10, 5-5) had a 36-29 run in the second half to defeat Clarkson in a Liberty League game in Potsdam.
Brooke Butkovsky scored 13 points for Clarkson (7-11, 2-8). Raeanne Clabeaux added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
SUNY FREDONIA 54, SUNY POTSDAM 42
Becky Hebert scored 19 points and Jaimie Warren added 15 points and 11 rebounds as SUNY Fredonia (9-9, 5-7) defeated the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.
Liz Wierbinski added 13 points for SUNY Fredonia. Jessica Kouzan tallied 10 points to lead the Bears (4-16, 2-11).
WOMENS HOCKEY
CLARKSON 4, BROWN 3 (OT)
Hailey Wood scored with 66 seconds left in overtime to give the Golden Knights (17-7-5, 11-4-2) the win in an ECAC Hockey game at Cheel Arena.
Carly Mercer, Shelby Nisbet and Gabrielle Kosziwka also scored for Clarkson. Jennifer Nedow, Samantha Woodward and Sarah Robson scored for the Bears (7-10-7, 4-9-4).
ST. LAWRENCE 6, YALE 2
Kelly Sabatine tallied three goals to give the Saints (16-8-4, 10-5-2) a win over Yale in an ECAC Hockey contest at Appleton Arena.
Rylee Smith, Bailey Habscheid and Vanessa Emond also scored for SLU. Lynn Kennedy and Danielle Moncion produced goals for Yale (1-23, 1-16).
MENS HOCKEY
SUNY POTSDAM 5, BUFFALO STATE 1
Sy Nutkevitch scored one goal with three assists to lead the Bears (7-11-2, 5-6) past Buffalo State in a SUNYAC contest in Potsdam.
Matt Viola, Vinny Buttitta and Nick Avgerinos each scored one goal with one assist for SUNY Potsdam. Erick Ware also scored for the Bears.
Matt Bessing scored for the Bengals (10-9-2, 6-5-1).
SUNY CANTON 3, NIAGARA CLUB 2
Rob Liggio scored an unassisted goal with 2:17 left in overtime to send the Kangaroos (23-2-3, 6-2) past the Niagara club team in Canton.
J.R. Lafferty scored with 2.3 seconds left in regulation to force overtime and Darren Camp also scored for SUNY Canton.

DURHAM WINS FOR SAINTS
Junior Ashley-Kate Durham became the first woman in SLU history to win an EISA Carnival event, taking the giant slalom race at the Vermont Carnival at Mount Mansfield in Stowe, Vt.
Durham finished her two runs in 2 minutes, 10.37 seconds, .63 seconds ahead of Harvars Rebecca Nadler. She had the first win of any kind for an SLU alpine skier since Lindsay Cone won a national title in the giant slalom in 2009.
