The top-seeded Shamrocks (17-3) scored the final 11 points of the game over the final 5 minutes, 47 seconds, to knock off No. 2 Canton and advance to the state tournament.
Salmon River beat Canton (10-10) twice in the regular season, but had trouble shaking the Golden Bears in the championship game. Every time Salmon River built a margin of six or seven points, Canton would come down and hit a 3-point basket and cut the deficit.
Abby Kelly paced the Shamrocks with 27 points, including eight in the fourth quarter.
Rylie Mainville scored 11 points and Karyss Terrance tossed in 10 for Salmon River, which will play the Section 7 champion at SUNY Plattsburgh at 6 p.m. on March 6 in the first round of the state playoffs.
