For a second-straight game Hammond's Alyssa Crosby hit a game-winning basket late, this time giving the third-seeded Red Devils their first Section 10 championship since 2009. Hammond won the state title in 2007 and 2008.
Crosby scored, and was fouled, with 27 seconds left in overtime. Her free throw put Hammond (17-4) ahead for good as the Red Devils defeated top-seeded Hermon-DeKalb 52-50.
Hammond will host the Section 2 champion in a first round state playoff game at SUNY Potsdam on March 6.
Crosby, who scored 35 points in the semifinals against Chateaugay, finished with 30 points in the championship game.
The game was even for most of the contest, but the Red Devils had a spurt early in the third quarter and built a 33-23 lead and looked like they'd coast to a win.
Hermon-DeKalb, led by Brianna Sayer's 23-point effort, fought back and tied the game just before the buzzer sounded on a basket from Courtney Harrington. The Demons (17-3) built a 50-46 lead with 71 seconds in overtime as well.
