After two straight years of being upset by Potsdam in the Section 10 championship games Massena finally had its chance to hoist the trophy after the game.

Using a dominant defensive performance, Massena defeated the Islanders 4-0 Monday night at Cheel Arena to earn their first trip to the state tournament since 2009.

Massena will travel to play Section 2's Saratoga on Saturday in a state quarterfinal.

The Red Raiders goals were scored by Tyler Lashomb, Connor Dix, Tyler Young and Cullen Baines.
