Nichole Hess, an 11th grader at South Jefferson Central School, will have her work displayed in the Capitol Building for a year after she won a congressional art competition.
The competition is open to high schoolers around the nation, and is sponsored by House members. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, held the vote on his website.
Her painting, which is appended, is called "Silver Belles."
She can attend a reception on June 20 at the Capitol Visitors Center in D.C.
