ICYMI: Graham retroactively resigns from Channel 7

Mayor Jeff Graham doesn't often let me forget that he went to Mizzou's J-school, a top-tier institution.
Apparently, the lessons about journalistic ethics didn't sink in.
"I had a brief affair with a John Zagame staffer while covering the 1980 GOP Congressional primary for channel 7," Mr. Graham writes on his blog. "In retrospect, it doesn't make me a bad person, but I did slant coverage in subtle ways. Let me resign retroactively."
All teasing of Hizzoner aside, it's reportedly not all that uncommon for reporters and sources to sleep together, according to one high-profile D.C. reporter.
Mr. Graham was writing in response to a story about a Wall Street Journal staffer who resigned after her affair with a top U.S. diplomat was revealed.
Mr. Zagame was a former assemblyman of Oswego County who eventually became Sen. Alfonse D'Amato's chief of staff.
The revelation is right about on par with Mr. Graham's assertion that his Independence Party bid for U.S. Senate in 2000 was engineered to help the eventual victory, Hillary Clinton, take votes from Republican Rick Lazio.
