St. Lawrence County grand jury indicts seven on drug, alcohol charges

CANTON — A Gouverneur man was indicted by a St. Lawrence County grand jury Thursday for allegedly selling morphine three times in October in the village of Gouverneur.

Patrick Cyrus, 18, of 85 Depot St., was charged with three counts of felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Others indicted by the grand jury include:

Robert H. Reed Jr., 31, of 1296 North Woods Road, Russell, was charged with two counts of felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Mr. Reed allegedly sold oxycodone twice in October in the town of DeKalb, according to court documents.

Michael P. Lavine, 57, of 468 County Route 55, Lawrenceville, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana and third-degree criminal sale of marijuana. Mr. Lavine allegedly possessed 10 ounces of marijuana in June 2011 in the town of Lawrence. He is also accused of selling 23.4 grams for $200 on June 29 and 35 grams for $225 on July 26, according to court documents.

Frank M. Teer Jr., 48, of 1454 County Route 15, Heuvelton, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He was stopped Feb. 5 in the town of Madrid with 27.5 pounds of marijuana, according to court documents.

Coreen M. Deer, 31, Syracuse, and Rachel C. Morgan, 22, Preble, were charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana. They were stopped Jan. 18 in the town of Gouverneur with 23 pounds of marijuana, according to court documents.

Matthew J. Mastine, 29, of 518 E. South St., Ogdensburg, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Mr. Mastine was stopped Dec. 29 in the town of Oswegatchie and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.17 percent. Mr. Mastine had a DWI conviction in March 2007 in Oneida County, according to court documents.
