The Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club has announced its finalists for its annual Dave Shea Sportsmanship Award. The award is given annually and recognized its members who best display sportsmanship, respect of the staff and friends, participation and competitiveness.
The winner will be announced Friday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. during a ceremony at the Ogdensburg Boys Girls Club. The public is invited to attend.
This years finalists are: Conner Badlam, Jed McRoberts, Peyton LaLone, Jordan Miller, Riley Luckie, Cale Sargent, Vinnie Molinari,Courtney Sherwin, Justyn McCormick and Kristen Snyder.
Also featured will be the presentation of summer camp scholarships to members of the club in memory of Anne Lynch and Russ McDonald, the Russ McDonald Service Award to a club member for service to the club and the community, the Keith Knowlton Table Tennis Award, Konner Murdock being recognized as the OBGC Youth of the Year and a presentation of a $500 scholarship in the memory of J. Russell Phillips to a graduating Senior who has participated in the club throughout high school. Dave Shea the long–time Journal and Advanced News Editor has been a long-time supporter of the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club and its activities. As a volunteer as well as providing excellent coverage of the Boys & Girls Club events, Shea has been a tremendous asset to the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club. The award is named in his honor to recognize him for his contribution to the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club.
