Carlisle, Carrothers and Clough exploded early to defeat Blue Heron Realty 14-1 in Kiwanis Softball playoff action at Zonta Field.
Sierra Ashley smacked two singles and a double and pitched the win with Claire Donaldson for CCC. Chea Kench added two singles while Hannah Beebie lined a double and Donaldson and Abby Wilhelm each singled. Donaldson finished with nine strikeouts in three innings and Ashley fanned six batters.
Natalie McCormick connected for two singles for Blue Heron and pitched with Makayla Mills. Mills and Mattie Hough also singled.
In other playoff action, Cope Consultants downed Julies Dance 10-8 and the AmVets of Heuvelton downed the Ladies of the Moose 14-3.
Cope 10, Julies 8: Katelyn Reynolds and Hope Walker pitched the win as Emma Stemples delivered a double and a two singles in timely fashion. Brielle McKee had three hits while Alexa McKee stroked two singles. Makayla Fields and McKenna Gray each singled.
Natalie Crofut crushed a homerun and a single for Julies. Rhiley Planty connected for a triple and a single. Hailey Reed added two singles while Olivia McRoberts, Sierra LaFlair, Kelsi Fraser, Courtney Stowe and Adrianna Vinch all singled. Planty and Stowe pitched well.
AmVets 14 - Ladies Of Moose 3: Emma Ladouceur and Madison McCormick pitched a two-hitter as the AmVets advanced into a matchup with the top seeded Red Devils in Hammond tonight.
Rayna Cameron lined three hits for the AmVets and McCormick stroked two singles. Emily Streeter, Kailey House, Chloe Combs, Molly Williams, Kelsey Williams and Ladouceur all added singles for the winners.
Abby Carmody (RBI) and Navia Lockwood singled for the Lady Moose and Chelsea Raven delivered two RBIs. Raven also pitched along with Payton LaRock and Evelyn Lilly for the Ladies of the of the Moose.
