HAMMOND - The Red Devils of Hammond needed all six innings to beat a very talented Carisle, Carrothers and Clough team, 14-12, on Thursday evening in Kiwanis Girls Sodftball Semi-Final action.

The top-seeded Red Devils play Northern Pump Services tonight at 6 p.m. in Hammond for the championship. Northern Pump Service earned its title game berth on Wednesday.

Facing a 10-1 deficit, a seven run inning carried Hammond back into contention keyed by three run homerun from Madison Cazziol that shifted the momentum in the Red Devils direction for a 14-12 comeback win.

A comeback after Lisbon’s CCC Claire Donaldson kept Hammond batters guessing on pitching location with her overpowing throws for the first three innings.

Cortney Cazziol, Taylor Arquitt, and Alyson Crosby pitched the win. Madision Cassiol went 1-2 with a three run blast. Courtney Cazziol (1-2), Alisha Parrow (2-2) and Leah Ward (1-3) also contributed. Kelsi Bennett and Hannah Tanner contributed excellent defense.

Donaldson crushed a mamouth two run homerun for CCC. Chea Kench (2-2), Sierra Ashley (1-2), also hit. Donaldson and Sierra Ashley rendered solid efforts on the mound
