Funeral services for Donald L. Bayne Sr., age 91 of County Route 10, DePeyster, will be held at 10:00am on Monday June 25, 2012 at the Macomb Community Wesleyan Church with Rev. James Warrington & Rev. Paul Dettmer co-officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Brasie Corners (Pleasant Lake) Cemetery in the town of Macomb.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Bayne passed away June 21, 2012 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Surviving is his wife Eva; three sons Donald L. Bayne & his wife Ada, James R. Bayne & his wife Barbara, and David A. Bayne all of DePeyster; two daughters Donna Washburn & her husband Charles of Gouverneur & Eleanor Bayne of DePeyster; a sister Shirley Layo & her husband Stan of Cicero; a brother George Bayne & his wife Ruth of DePeyster; grandchildren Cody & Cassie Bayne of Ogdensburg, Lucas & Michelle Bayne of Maine, Jennifer & Adam Hunter of Norfolk, Emily Washburn of Gouverneur; great-grandchildren Lexis Bayne, Riley Waraskevich, Matthew Hunter, Daniel Hunter and Macie Bayne along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

A brother Lester Bayne predeceased him.

Donald was born on December 8, 1920 in DePeyster, NY, a son of the late Sherd & Donna (Parish) Bayne. He graduated from Heuvelton Central School and married Eva Mae Marcellus on March 13, 1948 and celebrated his 64th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife this past March. Donald owned and operated the family farm in DePeyster for many years, and was a member of the Gouverneur Co-op. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards, hunting, visiting with friends at the coffee shop, and spending time with grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
