The Washington County Tea Party Patriots has endorsed Kellie Greene in her primary against Matt Doheny on Tuesday.
"I am delighted that the Washington County Tea Party chose my campaign in this critical GOP contest," Ms. Greene said in a news release. "Their vote of confidence continues the trend among many Republicans in the district."
Ms. Greene and Mr. Doheny are looking to take on Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, in November.
Meanwhile, the Glens Falls Post Star endorsed Mr. Doheny in an editorial today.
The editorial pointed to Mr. Doheny's business career as one of the reasons he got the nod.
"He has worked in the global marketplace and made a fortune by starting his own company to help troubled businesses. That seems a perfect recipe for anyone contemplating a term in Congress," the board wrote.
