GOUVERNEUR A Hammond man was arrested Thursday by village police in connection with two incidents in which he allegedly bumped a probation officer and assaulted a man and woman.
Bruce D. House, 39, of 3809 County Route 6, was released without bail following arraignment Thursday, and awaits prosecution on four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of third-degree assault and single counts of harassment and disorderly conduct.
Police said he is accused of chest-bumping a St. Lawrence County probation officer on June 12 at Gouverneur Middle School, where the officer was meeting with some troubled students.
On Monday, he allegedly pushed Angel George, 31, of 41 William St., up against a vehicle, and punched, knocked down and kicked Christopher Kelley, 25, in the presence of four children, according to police.
