CANTON - Youngs Brothers and Hoot Owl are 2-0 in Canton Summer Box Lacrosse League play at the Canton Pavillion.

Hoot Owl doubled Bessette’s 18-9 and Young’s denied Sergi’s 11-7 on Wednesday.

The League runs Monday and Wednesday’s at the Canton Pavillion.

Youngs Brothers 11, Sergi’s 7: Jessie Gilbert and Eb Foote each scored three goals and Jay Proulx scored twice to pace Youngs Brothers who had 25 saves from Bill Bascom. Jack Charlbois scored three times for Sergis’ while Mike Sergi and Bill Bergon each scored twice. Trevor Bombard had 30 saves,.

Hoot Owl 18, Bessette’s 9: Paul Vando and David Pychon each scored four scored four timesx and Jeff Myers scored three goals for Hoot Owl as Eric Howard made 12 saves. Mike Matthews scored four goals and Cody McCormick and Peyton VanBibber each scored twice for Bessette’s. Craig Miller had 27 saves.

On Monday, Hoot Owl and Youngs Brothers were winners in the first day play. Hoot Owl denied Sergi’s 20-11 and Youngs Brothers topped Bessettes 17-6 on Monday evening.

Youngs Brothers 17 - Bessette’s 6: Garrett Sharp generated six goals and Brandon Bartley added three for Youngs who received 15 saves from Billy Bascom. Cody Ladison and Mike Matthews each scored twice for Bessette’s. Alec Sosobee had 13 saves,

Hoot Owl 20, Sergis 11: Tanner Pratt scored five goals and tallied two assists, Richard Murphy collected five goals and Eric Howard and Grady Harrington made 21 saves for Hoot Owl. Jack Charlebois scored four goals and Kris Covell tallied three goals for Sergi’s. Trevor Bombard had 25 saves.
