James P. McIntire, 25, of Beresford, S.D., was charged by Watertown police at 11:25 p.m. Sunday with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Police said his vehicle was halted for unspecified reasons on Commerce Park Drive and he was allegedly found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent. Aggravated DWI is charged when a motorist’s BAC is alleged to be 0.18 percent or above, while a BAC of 0.08 percent is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

He was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.
